MYP 5 Task 3 Contemporary Portraiture
Task 3 – Creating: Final Artwork
Statement of Inquiry:
A person's identity can be represented in many ways.
Overview
This task focuses on Criterion C – Creating.
The goal is to develop a final artwork that communicates ideas connected to the statement of inquiry. Throughout the process, students should reflect on how they’ve practised and applied their skills and ideas to bring their concept to life.
When presenting their work, discuss the process with the class or a peer, explaining how their experimentation, decision-making, and artistic choices shaped their final piece. Use the Visual Arts Journal to support ideas and document their creative journey.
