Evaluation
Students are asked to evaluate their artwork and process relative to the statement of inquiry. They will then use the formal qualities to describe their chosen artwork and reflect on the inquiry process and their development as artists.
Global Context - Personal and Cultural Expression
Statement of Inquiry: Understanding the elements of art and form helps artists express ideas
Inquiry Questions
Factual - What does 'found object' in art look like? What is assemblage art? What specific examples of found objects are most effective in assemblage art?
Conceptual - What is the meaning of assemblage art and found objects? How do artists select and combine found objects to convey a specific message?
Debatable - Assemblage art is similar to sculpture.
Task 4 - Evaluation
Dear Students,
- Appraise your own artwork. Analyse your work. Include ideas on form and justify big ideas in your artwork.
- Write a final reflection considering the criteria assessed and your artistic development. Include your process of art making and art ideas connected to the statement of inquiry. Consider the unit questions.
Command Term - Analyse:
How does your artwork communicate an idea to an audience? Which elements of art were successful in your work, and how did others understand it? Can you analyse your artwork using the elements of art? How has this helped you develop as an artist
